Giving Back

TASSCC, through its Community Service Committee, sponsors numerous events each year to give back to the community. During 2009 TASSCC events contributed over $9,000 to organizations like Texas Hearing and Service Dogs, Any Baby Can, Family Services of Houston, Habitat for Humanity, and the Capital Area Food Bank. The last three fundraising events held in conjunction with the Annual Conference, the State of the State and the Technology Education Conference raised over $10,000 for 3 very deserving charities. Upcoming events include a work day with Habitat for Humanity and other fundraisers for charities in conjunction with the TASSCC 2010 Annual Conference in August and the TASSCC State of the State in December.
