Mission, Vision & History
— Our History
More than 50 years of public-sector technology collaboration
Founded in 1974, the Texas Association for Strategic Solutions and Collaboration in Computing (TASSCC) began when technology leaders from Texas public universities came together to address shared technology challenges. Soon after, professionals from Texas state agencies joined, creating a unique community connecting higher education and state government.
As technology has evolved—from centralized data processing to enterprise computing, cybersecurity, cloud services, and digital government—TASSCC has evolved with it. Through education, conferences, leadership opportunities, and peer networking, TASSCC provides a forum for public-sector technology professionals to exchange ideas, share best practices, and build lasting relationships.
Today, TASSCC continues its commitment to collaboration, innovation, and professional growth while supporting technology solutions that strengthen public service across Texas.
