About the Training Grants Fund
A Legacy of Supporting Professional Growth
In 2003, TASSCC established the Training Grants Fund in honor of Carolyn Purcell, former Executive Director of the Texas Department of Information Resources and a longtime champion of Texas state IT professionals.
Her commitment to developing and supporting the state's technology workforce continues through the fund today. TASSCC has awarded more than $180,000 in training grants to help public-sector IT professionals expand their skills through technical and leadership development.
Training Grants are available throughout the year on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to available funding. We encourage eligible TASSCC members to apply.
