The State of the State Conference is a one-day event presented by TASSCC that brings together technology directors from Texas state agencies and institutions of higher education to discuss the strategic direction of technology in Texas. TASSCC members will examine the role of IT in state government and higher education, explore future trends, and hear in-depth discussions on topics currently impacting public sector IT.

Registration opens early November 2026.
All non-sponsoring industry companies must be members in good standing in order to attend. There is no limit to how many registrants each member organization can send to SOS.

Parking Information
For attendees of the TASSCC SOS event, complimentary self-parking is available in the designated garage, courtesy of TASSCC. Please note that this complimentary parking is for daily event use only and does not include in-and-out privileges. Additionally, complimentary parking does not cover overnight stays. We recommend planning your arrival and departure accordingly to make the most of this benefit during the event.

Organizations may participate at the conference as sponsors. Sponsor opportunities are released to prior year's sponsors on a graduated basis. Sponsorships are awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis – determined by the date and time contracts are submitted.

Registration Policies
Cancellations
A full refund will be given for written requests received on or 3 weeks before the event date. No refunds will be granted after 3 weeks prior to the event date. Cancellations must be received in writing from the original registrant at info@tasscc.org. No cancellations will be taken by phone.
Substitution
Substitute attendees may be named the week prior to the event or during on-site registration. Notification of substitution must be submitted in writing from the original registrant at info@tasscc.org. No substitutions will be taken by phone.
